Dear members,
I fervently hope and trust that all members must be aware that our Club is now Functioning in the new building and may be most of you might have visited the Club and witnessed the accomplishments achieved with your unstinted and unflinching co-operation.
Those members who have not been able to visit the Club, an opportunity is being afforded to them to participate in New Year Function to be organized on Saturday, the 28th December, 2013 at Lawn side from 7 P.M. onwards. In new building two Bars and two Restaurants are functioning at Ground Floor. At 1st Floor Party Hall having a large capacity to arrange any function has been made functional where on 27.10.2013, the General Body Meeting of your Club was held successfully. On the 2nd Floor apart from two Card Rooms, three Kitty / Conference Rooms are being renovated for the use of our members. On the 3rd Floor Seven Guest Rooms are ready which after arranging and finalizing services for 24 hours shall be made available to accommodate our guests. In upper basement a part of Gym is functioning and full fledged Gym is under construction including separate Sona and Steam Baths for Ladies and Gents. We plan to make functional complete Gym in short time. The Lawn back side of Club building has been thrown open for use. You can arrange some function for approximately 200 gatherings there where well equipped Wash Rooms for Ladies and Gents are also provided. We have also installed ingeniously made SWINGS / Slides and monkey jumping etc for kids.
The major stride is to construct Swimming Pool for which we have started taking steps. The old structure where Club activities were being conducted earlier has been removed and space is being cleaned. The whole open area, terraces at 2nd and 3rd Floors is being planted to give you beautiful and green look and where we can arrange functions also.
Members are parking their vehicles in upper and lower basements. We are issuing Parking Stickers against one time nominal payment of rupees twenty five only whereas in authorized parking lot , the parking charges vary between Rs. 25/- to Rs 50/- for a few hours only. For more information for getting parking stickers please contact Club office. Please note that those vehicles which do not display parking stickers are not allowed to park the vehicle in the basements.
On all floors kitchen and pantries have been provided to serve the members and their guests. One most modern kitchen at Ground Floor is being used for giving catering services in Bars and Restaurants and another large kitchen at Ground Floor has been constructed to give catering services at Party Halls at 1st and 2nd floors. Two special dumb waiter lifts have been installed to supply the hot and fresh food stuff at Party Halls from ground floor main kitchen.
Dear friends, for all these jobs, funds are required. In the recently held AGM on 27th October, 2013, it was decided to enroll 51 new life members at membership fee of Rs.3 lakhs plus taxes after existing life membership up to membership number of 2536 exhausted for which current rate is
Rs. 1, 86,000.00 . Please note previously we were charging fee for life membership including land and building fund along with annual commuted subscription for 30 years. But now instead of annual commuted subscription, we shall be charging Rs. 5000.00 as annual subscription. Kindly avail the golden opportunity and ask your friends and relatives to rush to get the membership of prestigious Club of Delhi located at prime location having connectivity with metro at a distance of a few door steps.
First time Lady Forum of Janakpuri Club organized Diwali Mela on 25.10.2013 where about 200 ladies and children participated making it a grand success. As usual Tombola game is attracting more and more members and their guests.
In General Secretary Report circulated along with Agenda of AGM we sought your co-operation that in case you have some expertise in the construction of Swimming Pool, kindly help us to construct it in our Club.
In the said Report we requested our members to use their influences for seeking reciprocal arrangement with established Clubs in metro cities. We again solicit your kind co-operation to help us to have affiliation with other Clubs so that our members may enjoy the facilities while visiting other places.
We shall be issuing Smart Card shortly after the completion of recording of member's DATA which is going on at a fast speed. We request you to please co-operate and submit the Data Format duly filled along with required documents and fee if not yet done.
